Meeting Minutes
January 21, 2010
Location: The Hauts
Present: Wayne Haut, Jean Haut, Geoff Miller, Margi Miller, Geri Tresselt, Karen Neset, Rich Cox, Mary Ellen Cox, Cheri Rosenberger, Rusty Rosenberger, Matt Romberg and Scot OMalley.
Around Town: Scot updated us on the happenings around town and left before formal meeting.
Meeting Minutes:
Last meetings minutes were accepted.
Treasurers Report:
The bank balance is $820.70 and the St Croix Community Foundation balance is $7044.30.
Old Business
Cemetery Chapel Restoration Project
- Jim Smeed has most of the stained glass installed in the frames with the frames ready for the final paint coat. They are in the chapel.
New Business
- Painting and installation of the current batch of windows will be scheduled as weather permits.
- Just some minor repairs and a couple of windows to complete and the stained glass will be done. HOORAY!
HVNA Website
- Cheri created a new website on Wix.com for the January meeting for group review. The new site is great but she needs help on updating contractor lists.
- The contact info will be to an HVNA address forwarded to Wayne Haut
- Key points of the new website include easy upgrades, key word links to HVNA website and scrolling pictures to create interest.
- The HVNA.net domain will be renewed by Lee for 5 years at $10 per year and Lee will work with Cheri to get it transferred to our new web site.
- Cheri will upgrade our web site to the $99 per year level to avoid some of the web site advertising.
Brochure Update
The real need of a brochure was questioned with the updated web site. Possibly just need a business card directing people to the HVNA web site.
Hot Air Affair
- Parade theme: dressed in low riding white boxers with peace signs, T-shirts with hearts and HVNA, red baseball hats turned sideways, some kind of head gear and angel wings.
- Music: Rap beat singing Pants on the ground, Peace on the ground, Balloons in the air, Get those balloons in the air and Love all around
- Rich will be our leader dressed as a hippie with a boom box for rap music. He is also preparing something for the judges stand.
- Sponsors and order of accent #1 Bonesteels, #2 Rombergs, #3 Hauts, #4 Coxs, #5 Millers, #6 Tresselt.
- A special Hot Air meeting sometime before parade.
